MMS send/receive no longer working

Older phone ASUS Zenfone 4. Was working fine then since two weeks ago I can longer send or receive pictures or long messages using my messaging app. I've tried Google Messages and QKSMS but neither work. What's going on?

Use only native texting app. All 3rd party apps are mostly bad written junk.

what phone you have? your phone might need APN update

But try to update your APN, make sure you update these fields

APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca
MMS port: 8799

Yeah - I've tried that, stuck on figuring out how to make the APN settings stick; after reboot my fone (Blackberry Key2) reverts to the original settings. I cannot delete or edit the original settings; had to create a new APN setting, but like I said, after every reboot, the phone goes back to the original. Thinking might need the SIM card replaced.
