I recently signed up with an esim and ported over my number from Rogers. I have full functionality with my old Rogers number, except for iMessage.

When I go settings -> cellular -> sim, it shows the number that was initially assigned to the esim before I was able to port over my old number. And in the iMessage settings this new number is the only option populating, not my old Rogers numbers

Rebooted the phone, the new number was still showing as the default option in iMessage settings however when I selected it, it auto adjusted to my old ported over number! Issue resolved
