Came down to the final activation, but a window appears asking that I download the App. I do not want the App, but there seemed to be now way around it?

Sorry, but the app must be used to activate your account. There is no way around this.

@rjsdesign1 yes the app is mandatory, however the way around this is to get someone you know to download it for you to follow the steps to get a PublicMobile account. Once it's completed they can remove it from their phone.

If your phone cannot download the app, or you simply choose not do, this is the only way around it, unfortunately.

I have never used the app myself. I had a friend do it for me. I only use the website to manage my account.
