Hi, yes this is possible you can by a plan for only one month. You would get a different phone number. If you buy a sim from Public Mobile delivery is 2 to 3 weeks. You can try a local Telus or Koodo store if you need the card for early June.

Hi,

My mother in law is coming for 3 weeks in June. I was wondering if I get a sim card if we can just sign up for 1 month then cancel immediately? She visits every year so would we be able to use the same sim card every year and re-activate each year for only 1 month?

@Davidko604 I don't think you can use the same SIM card every year if you let her phone plan lapse more than 90 days. But if you sign her up using an e-SIM on her phone (which is free, as of now anyway), then you would just get a new e-SIM each year. Also, she would then get a new phone number each year which I’m sure wouldn’t matter in this case.

Yes, but you'd need to get a new sim card/new phone number every year. E-sims are free for new signups though, so she'd just have to be okay with a new phone number each year.
