Hi looking at the new $34 Can/US offer that ends May 20. Can I use my iPhone 8 which only has physical sim vs esim?

you can actually use physical sim, too. The line there just saying eSIM will be free

physical sim will be around $5 to $10.

To lock in the plan first, you can subscribe first, pick physical sim and better to choose PICK UP sim from local Telus/Koodo store around you.

Or if you rather get a Public Mobile sim card first before activation, get one from:

You need an iPhone XS / XS Max / XR or later models to use eSIM

you need to buy a SIM for $10 from PM or $5 from Amazon, but you may not be able to receive it by May 20

You can but you will need to move quickly to create an account as softech has suggested as the promotion ends on the 20th and you may not be able to get a SIM in time.
