Whatsapp can be used, but you'll have no service from Public Mobile. Another internet/cellular servcie would need to be used for the connection.

hi @lagoon41 you cannot get sms text in Europe. PM has no service there.

but WhatsApp will still work as long as you have wifi or local data

Public Mobile only works in Canada and the US. If you are looking to use Whatsapp and other VOIP programs, you will be required to purchase a data only SIM card. Here's a link to a popular site that sells them.

Hi,

As long as you have access to internet, using wifi or a data only esim card (eg: Airalo, Holafly, etc), then you can use WhatsApp. I've travelled to Europe many times and used the esims purchased through Airalo. Very easy setup using their app and great support, reasonable prices.
