Picture messaging not working

I just joined today.

Everything is working except I can't not send MMS pictures.

Went through all the threads , including adding an extra APN for MMS and nothing works.

I have a Xiaomi Note 3.

It's showing good data speed on Public Mobile 4G.

Hi @fathom,

Extra APN profile for MMS is not necessary.

Verify that your APN settings have no errors compared to the ones shown in the Knowledge base section of this forum.

Then, just make this one change in your APN settings "APN type: default,mms,supl"

Save. Reboot. Test MMS.

Try a 3rd party messaging app such as Textra or GO sms etc.

Tried standard APN (as mentioned above)
Tried detailed APN (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Plans-Add-Ons/Mobile-Data-Not-Working-APN-seems-to-look-right/m-p/28051#M3353)
Tried with and without MMS APN (http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/Can-t-send-or-receive-MMS/m-p/67317#M17055)
Tried Facebook Messenger & Google Messenger for SMS/MMS.
Everything is working (phone, SMS, tethering) but picture MMS.
Would be nice to sort this out even though most of the time i use Facebook Messenger as the main app instead of SMS, esp with this 12Gig deal

Hurray i got it to work.
The issue seems to me either the size limit or legacy vs system MMS settings.
When dwelled deeper into both Tetra & GO SMS, neither of which worked for MMS. I changed the settings for MMS attachment size to unlimited (Tetra) or 5Mb (GO SMS), and changed MMS to system rather than legacy.
Those settings were not available to change in the Xiaomi Note 3 global ROM, or Google Messenger or Facebook messenger SMS.
Incidentally i will use Tetra, nice interface, no ads (even if it's GO SMS that gave me the hint as to why it did not send).
Now it's working and I can go back to sleep 🙂

@fathom when you said Tetra, did you mean Textra? If so, it's my favourite too! However, FYI, I think you do start getting ads after a certain amount of time (30 days maybe?), unless you pay up the unlock fee. For me it was well worth it the few bucks so I paid for it and continue to enjoy it. Just wanted to give you the heads up though.
