my samsung galaxy s 6 has stopped sending long text messages and pictures. It will only send very short texts. Is this a phone problem or is this a data problem with public mobile? What can I do to fix this? Thank you

@jmflint Do you have cellular data on and wifi off when trying to send picture messages? Picture messages go by MMS and it sounds like you may be affected by this announcement. Regular (short) text messages go by SMS which is not affected by this change.

Data is NOT used for SMS.
In order to send/receive MMS you have to have Data on (data will not be used but it has to be on).

Do you have another phone to try sending out MMS with data enabled?

If it works then it is your phone. If it still doesn’t sent then do a network reset to see if that works.
