Long Distance Add-Ons one time charge or recurring?

If I purchase a long distance add-on is it a one time purchase or does it get refilled each month on top of my plan subscription? If it's a one time thing, how long before the minutes expire?

@Kaeman - It is a one time add-on, you can always buy more.

And the Long Distance Add-ons don't expire... only the US roaming and Data add-ons do.

Sweet!! So I could purchase 300 minutes and take a year or two to use them up? That's perfect if that's how I'm interpreting that.

@Kaeman - Yes, although the 300LD minutes don't include all places, specifically only the UK and US. You would need to buy two separate add-ons.
