How can you disable voice mail on your plan I don't want it

you cannot remove it but you can turn on extended absence.

Call voicemail and log in with your PIN.
press 3 (manage greetings),
then 4 (manage extended absence greeting),
then 2 (record a new extended absence greeeting) and record a message that indicates to your caller you are not accepting messages.
Then press 4 to enable extended absence
Last, , press 5 to dissallow anyone to leave you a message.

@Wendy709 - And this is what someone will hear when you create and enable extended absence greeting and disable voicemail responses:

{ Your Extended Absence Greeting } - Thank you for calling, goodbye. (System Automation) hangs up.
