Im new and need some insight.

I never have had a personal cell phone before therefore I dont have a phone number to port. A freind has given me a phone that I can use and seems it will work with Public Mobile. Does anyone know how I would get phone number issued?

Any help would be grateful.

@steve111 When you get the sim card, you can activate it here. It will ask you to either choose a new number or port in your existing number. Since you don't have any number, you want to choose pick a new number option and it will give you a list of available local numbers.
