I recently went to Hawaii and could not connect my phone to 5G. Only LTE network was available. And there were times where my phone was connected to T-mobile but couldn’t use data. My 5G plan works in the US and Canada.

Hey,
In USA, you can only use 4G, either with T-Mobile or AT&T. For VoLTE, your phone should be VoLTE supportive so you can call in USA, as they do not have 3G in USA. Try manually connecting to them.
Preferably manually select it and then restart & give it a shot!

@Oski The service will depend on what's available in any particular area and the capabilities of your phone. People have reported that 5G does not work on AT&T in the USA but T-Mobile may. That's why it is usually suggested to use 4G/LTE at least until you know everything is working and maybe try T-Mobile first. With a non-VoLTE phone you can only use T-Mobile's 2G network where it is still available but that would only be for voice calls, text and data should still work.

AT&T 5G doesn't work for us, but T-Mobile does. You still get 5G speed when connected to 4G/LTE.
