My wife has a flip phone and I want to upgrade to a 5G account for her on a Samsung A54 phone. How does the process work when she can't load the PM app on her phone and she wants to keep her number? The existing sim is not a hybrid, but the old large format, which doesn't fit in the A54.

@99entry It should still fit pop the outer edge off the SIM card

3 hole punch /desired size

Note flat edge corner / fit flush in tray

No lifting or rising /push in all the way

Just pop out the SIM card from the flip phone and put it into the Samsung A54 phone. You might need to remove the spacer so it is the nano size SIM.

The PM app is used for activating a new SIM or managing your account but you can also manage her account online.

The app is "online". Both the app and website are online.

Despite claims to the contrary by some others, the Self Serve website is fully capable of successfully assignging a new Public Mobile SIM card to an existing account.

How about my mom staying on her Samsung flip phone and not caring about her old number on the $15/mo plan? You can't download the app on a flip.
