Hi all.
Switched to PM a couple days ago and now I’ve found my battery drains faster on my iPhone 11. I had not realized my phone is not compatible with 5G. Would this be the cause or something else?
Thanks in advance!

But in the last that sometimes made it worse . And not to mentioned batteries don’t last for ever and start to degrade after the first charge and all subsequent charges after that . I read some here’s that it’s best to charge your phone to 80% and try not to let it drop down last 20% to help the longevity of the battery

Ooo I hadn’t noticed there was an update. I’ll do that when I’m home.
The thing is that my phone was holding the charge until I switched carriers two days ago. Seems an odd coincidence if the battery is suddenly failing because of age and not the switch. Also, disappointing as I cannot afford a new phone.

Go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health & Charging.

If you battery health is above 80% then update to iOS 17.4 as noted by @Handy1 .

Sorry for the late reply. I only just updated and am currently charging my phone. I’ll see how things pan out from here. If the update helped, then I’ll confirm this, but if not then I’ll have to look at another solution.
It seems so odd that this happened after my switch. The battery was more than okay before I changed to PM.

Heat kills battery.

I also don’t put it on the charger over night and not charge to 100%.
Maximum charge to 85%.

Since updating my iOS, the battery situation seems to be better. Keeping my fingers crossed that that was the only issue. Just a coincidence it occurred with my provider switch over. Thanks for your help!
