Hi,

I am on the 3G plan using a 3G phone and I will soon be buying a 4G or 5G phone. What do I need to do or have to use the 4G or 5G phone with Public Mobile?

1. Will my current 3G Public Mobile Sim work in the 4G or 5G phone or do I need a new Public Mobile Sim?

2. Do I need to switch to a 4G or 5G plan?

3. How will this affect my current plan/rewards?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Regards,

Kev

Yes, you can use the 4g 5g network just with speed capped at 3mbps because of your plan

3. not affected at all

enjoy your new phone

Your plan is just max speed, not what network you can connect to. Even if you have a 3G plan, you can still connect to the 4G and 5G networks (with a compatible device).

There's nothing for you to do but put your sim card in your new device. I'm am curious when you say you only have a 3G phone though. What device are you using?
