I'm looking to transfer from Freedom to Public Mobile. Am I considered a new activation if I bring my own phone and sim? Thanks.

@usnc Yes you are anytime you create a new account weather you port a number over or not your a new activation .

@usnc yes, that is a new account activation. You can request port in your number during activation

Make sure to get a friend referral code and enter during activation (Step 4 Payments) to save $10 one time

@usnc Yes but just to clarify the sim part - you'll need a new Public Mobile sim and not the Freedom sim. That's probably what you meant but just to be sure. Although they're free with new activations at the moment. delivery of physical sims direct from PM can be quite slow. It may be quicker to get one from a corporate Telus/Koodo store or Amazon.

PM is a Bring Your Device online service and SIM are currently free for new activation.
