You will be required to purchase a new SIM card. When you sign up for an account, they will mail you a SIM card which can take up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase one from Amazon faster. Or you can check local stores who may carry it via this link. https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/mb/pick-up-SIM

@AJH The Koodo sim card will not work, you will need to get a Public Mobile sim card. They are free from Public Mobile but delivery can be slow. Alternatives are to order from Amazon, get one from a corporate Telus/Koodo store (you would have to pay for both these but support may reimburse you) or use esim if the phone is capable.

@Phil_Adelphus How can one get a free sim? I was under the impression that they're $10 from public mobile?

Or do you mean when you subsicrbe for a plan, like the promotion currently?
