Make sure your PM account is still active and your PM SIM card is still in your phone. If you didn't get the porting request on your PM SIM card/phone within the first 2 hours, it probably didn't go through. You need to reach out to the other provider to try again.

Porting requests to other service providers are done on their end.

I am trying to port my number from Public Mobile to a different provider but have not gotten any response from PM. My new provider put in a request hours ago. Any ideas how to proceed? Very difficult not being able to speak to anyone from PM.

Is your PM line active? It needs to be active to port out, and you should be sent a text from PM to authorise the port.

I don't understand the currently have a second line on your account? This is impossible as each phone number is it's own account.

Hi @Lens54

So basically, you need to go into your settings and pick the Public Mobile SIM card as a primary for now so you get the porting request from Public Mobile. Then once you get it you can take out the SIM card. OR if you have another phone or can borrow someone's spare phone for a few hours, then reach out to your other provider and request the porting request again. That will work.

Depends where are? Some have said they can receive texts in the US even without an add-on but other countries you will not receive any texts to authorize your port out.

You have to have public mobile service your main service and activated as you would need to receive the text message to confirm and that you get 90 minutes to confirm or it wont go through.

Once you do that part its smooth sailing. You may need to have a usa add on if your in the usa to receive this text.
