Attaching a credit card to an account doesn't cause a payment to go through. Are you trying to resume service for a suspended account? In those cases, payment needs to be done manually.

if you missed a payment already, you need to make a manual payment yourself to resume service. Click Pay and Resume services on My Acocunt

Did you enable autopay? If you did that, your credit card will be automatically billed tomorrow.
