Midnight data usage

I have two accounts. One for each of my teens. Every night at midnight, 7 days a week, their phones while on wifi, use between 1MB and 400MB of data. Their phones don't show any cellular data usage, but public does. What's going on?

No need to worry. Public mobile reports data usage once-twice per day. Usually in the middle of the night. It does not report data usage in real time. I also get my data usage about 1 AM everyday.

Thanks all, that makes sense. Kids swear they aren't using it at all, lol.

Indeed the data report in the usage only populates twice a day for the preceding 12-hour period.

However on the landing page, the data usage counter displaying is in almost real-time after it's been consumed.
