      <description>&lt;P&gt;do you need to use sim inside the phone when you activate it?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have similar situation. will use an old phone (galaxy s6) as secondary/ work phone with $15 plan. Trying to understand in I need to insert the sim inside the phone to activate it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/302311"&gt;@ALISA_R&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;no, you don't need to put the physical sim card in the phone for activation.&amp;nbsp; You just need to provide the sim card number and use the app to activate it.&amp;nbsp; (Yes, you need to use the app and not just viat browser)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And of course, it is better to put the sim in a phone so you can test if any activation trouble&lt;/P&gt;</description>
