People getting missed calls from my number

Someone I don’t know say they received a missed call / phone call from my phone number, but I didn’t call them. It says on their phone I called them, but doesn’t say that on mine. Is this some sort of Spam? Has happened 2 times till now in like 2 months.

Your number has been spoofed by scammers. They are hiding their number by using your number.

It happens a lot and not much can be done now. Hopefully the Canadian government can crack down on scammers.

this is Caller ID spoofing.

Scammer use system to fake the caller id to fool people to think a real person is calling and not those annoying sales calls. The one receive that call see your number and not aware of caller id spoofing and hence call you back and ask

Sorry, there is really nothing much you can do to stop, but you didn't have anything compromised. So, thing to worry about
