If I want to change my auto pay from my credit card to my Visa Debit do I have to cancel auto pay then re-register?

No, you can simply update the card on file. Sign into your self serve account, click on the Payment tab, and then down below the two big buttons (One Time Payment, Manage AutoPay) is a little text link that says "Manage my card - Update or remove my Credit or Visa debit card". Click that, then click on Replace this credit card, and enter your new card's info and click the Register button.
