@Miley_1978 can you test his sim card in his old phone and see if the sim still works on the old one?

since the phone is an old one, I am not sure if the phone is carrier locked. If the sim works on the old phone and not the new one, then it is a carrier lock issue and you need to ask the carrier where this phone was originally from to unlock it

I was able to get in contact with an agent (second link sent) and got a PUK code. Cell is now working…yeah!!!!!
