Data only Smart phone plans

If anyone has been using a Data Only smart phone plan would you mind giving a review of how you got it, set it up, use it and how its been going with data and texting only. Or do you use another means of communicating with other phones rather than texting?

Do we need a cell plan to text?

@Steveca There is not data only plan . But you can get the 100GB for $50 plan right now and be able to call and text with it and it’s a big data bucket

yes you need a phone plan to text it’s all bundled into one package

there is no data only plan here. All comes with voice. You can treat it as data plan only but free voice and text 🙂

All plans on PM comes with calling, texting and data. You will need a plan for data, calling and texting.

I know other carrier carry a talk and text plan. I have a friend who is on this plan but you need to pay up front first.

I have a few burner phones that I lend out to friends and family that doesn’t have any plan but can calling and text through wifi with the TextNow app with a number.
