Becsuse the bonus LD calling only works while you are in Canada. You need the USA Roaming plan if you are in the USA.

You can use WhatsApp or TextNow app for free calling and texting while connected to wifi.

As stated already these are meant from Canada to these locations. If you wish to bring your Public Mobile phone with you, you'll need to purchase a US add on.

Purchasing a US add on, for example $30 unlimited talk and text and 3 GB of data is $2 a day. Or if you just want talk and text with no data, is $15, $1 a day. You just have to purchase it the night before just to be on the safe side.

They'll work to CALL those locations while the PM device/SIM is in Canada , @goofball

However your question may imply while you are physically in those locations vs calling those locations, in which case the above 3 replies very satisfactorily answer that aspect of your inquiry.
