When you got the public mobile SIM, normally you get the SIM such that it can be broken down into different sizes. I want to point your attention to this comment on a separate thread that talks about this same issue.

Hi @kristak

Public Mobile SIM cards have 3 sizes on one card. You may have popped out the smallest one and need to try again.

The Gold area is one size, the Blue area is another size and the Grey area is another size.
