Can authenticator be deactived because it waste more time then it actually helps? Even after selecting this is a trusted device, it ask every single login.

It can not be deactivated. This is how Public Mobile protects it's members. It may seem to be annoying to you but it today's world of scammers, hackers and unethical people trying to steal your account, it's worth having!

the 2FA authentication is another layer of needed protection to avoid sim fraud, which is common these days. Most carriers now have forced 2FA set and cannot be disabled like PM's

what browser are you using? check if your browser has setting like "Clear cache on exit", you need to disable that for the "trusted device" to work.

also, the "trusted" device tends to work not as well on iOS for some reason

It's pretty hard to get hacked if you can only use safe websites since the internet is very censored these days to 3 pages of repeating news only search results.

I had same problem when Eversafe ID was introduced mid-summer.

Now I don’t have any issues at home but when I connect to public wifi…it depends on who’s wifi. I don’t have any issues connecting to free Bank wifi but I have issues connecting to free fast food wifi.

Replace the word "protects" with "annoys".

Having it enabled by default does all the things you describe. Having the option to disable it is missing. Not even an option with some kind of "are you really sure?" explanation/information/warning.

We should have the option to not be annoyed if we consciously, deliberately choose to not be annoyed. Indeed, I'm not particularly convinced EverSafe "protects" or "secures" anything other than an added layer of Telus telemetry I don't want to make easy for them - just another reason I want an opt-out they have conspicuously failed to provide.

I have to do three 2FAs if I want to login to Community, Self-Serve, and Rewards. It's stupid and annoying. All ticking the "this is a trusted device" box does (each time) is extend the login session for a while (an hour, I think) during which time I don't have to repeat the 2FAs. While the "list of trusted devices" on the EverSafe site itself doesn't do a damned thing, I've tested it rather extensively to troubleshoot what I might be doing wrong and it turns out I wasted my time because it's just a broken feature.

You may want and appreciate and like all this EverSafe 2FA stuff. That's fine.

But others don't want it, don't appreciate it, don't like it, and don't have any way to opt-out or turn it off. That's not cool.

I guess I'm lucky because I too got tired of the constant 2FA texts and, despite so many saying trusted device doesn't work, I gave it a go. For whatever reason it works fine for me and I hardly ever have to get the code. This is on Safari browser on an iPad.

Does Eversafe have an option to log in with a pin rather than a 10 character password?

It seems to catch me short when I'm not at my home computer where my list of passwords are easily available...
