Problem with 5G speed

I have a Pixel 6, it is 5 G compatible. When I changed its setting 5G connection speed, as I have a 5G plan. So it doesn't work, the speed is getting is barely 1G or 2G. Tried restarting the phone but still the same thing. Can you guys help me out please?

@Gomzy Try resetting network settings , also Even with phone set to LTE being on5G plan you should still get better speeds of 100mbs of a 4G plan . Do speed test to confirm

add @Gomzy I know the Samsung s20 is 5G phone but won’t show up as option with PM wonder if it’s the same for the pixel 6 phone . And you are in 5G coverage area ?

mine is the same but Samsung s 22 my speed is 25 mb outside of my house

@porcupine And you have 5G plan ? Try set your phone to LTE and do speed test should get faster speed then that . 5G is a battery drain and tends to make the phone run warm . Best to keep it in LTE anyways in my opinion

Maybe do a factory/network reset. I find that 5G and 4G connections are identical in battery consumption. Speed test results are likely more to do with local network congestion.
