How do you go about getting roaming to use in Mexico? Does the U.S Roaming work there?

@Janetde No, with Public Mobile there is only roaming in the US so your PM account will not work in Mexico.

@Janetde You can pick up a local pre-paid service SIM card while in Mexico if the area(s) you will be in do not have reliable Wi-Fi.

This way, you can utilize the services down there and keep your PM SIM card back in Canada.

Or, alternatively, use a back-up device (perhaps a prior one you may still own) down there with the local pre-paid SIM so no need to take either your current device or PM SIM card.

Unfortunately, PM doesn’t have roaming in Mexico so your only option is to purchase a local SIM or use WhatsApp or TextNow app for free calling and texting when connected to wifi.

PM only has USA roaming. For other destinations I’d recommend an eSIM provider such as Airalo where you can buy data packages. From there use an app such as TextNow and forward your cellphone to that phone #. You’ll be able to receive make and calls easily like that and you can also text with that #.
