I have an old (4 years) physical PM sim that I currently use. I was a 3g plan user until today. I am now on 5g enabled phone on the new 5g plan.. is there any reason I should switch to esim ? Will it be better for the 5g ? Also is it easy to switch how do I do it ?

@Tmoney

no , no reason for eSIM if you do not see and need the benefit

and your old sim card will work on 4G or 5G plan and the new phones

main benefit for physical sim, you can easily change phone without paying again. With eSIM, you need to pay $5 for a new one if you ever change phones or ever deleted it or you wiped the phone and the eSIM gone together

But why eSIM? for those who needs more sim around (maybe those who travel a lot) so they can easily change sim on the fly

yes esim is better used for travelling, not the other way around. people don't understand this though
