If you tap "Didn't get the code?" you should be offered the option to receive via e-mail.

if you want to remove the OTP from SMS completely, login My Account, go to Profile page, Click Manage EverSafe ID and then remove the phone number from EverSafe profile there

The Eversafe system will always default to send a text message as long there is a phone number saved in the Eversafe profile.
