Any phones, even non-5G phones, can use the 5G plans. The 5G plans are more for the extra data.

All phones on any plans can access PM's 3G or 4G or 5G network, just the speed will be different accordingly

So, your iPhone SE 2nd Gen will work on 5G plan here

and even your iPhone SE 2nd Gen does not have 5G, but it can use the 4G networks and speed can as much as 200Mbps still, more than the speed offered on 4G plans

My question was not - will 5g work with my phone - but will my phone still work on a 5g plan ( even if it is not 5g speed)

HI @Betaboy_79 Yes, it will work

you will be using 4G network and can take advantage for the higher speed limit and more data offered on the 5G plans

@Betaboy_79 , the nameplate on a plan reflects the speed throttling applied to the plan. Otherwise all plans give customers access to the 5G/4G/3G networks. Even with a 4G connection on the iPhone SE 2nd ed you should be able leverage most if not all the speed capabilities offered in a 5G plan. One other thing you should be mindful of is VoLTE which is an essential consideration if you happen to roam in the US.
