I got the $30 US roaming package but Data part didn’t work. Found out it was because I had 3G. I changed my plan to 4G but still not able to use the US roaming data part. Have rebooted etc but no luck. Thoughts?

It doesn’t matter if you are on the 3G plan. I wouldn’t be surprised if your iPhone 15 will show 5G.

Also enable VoLTE in Cellular>Cellular Data Option to make calls on VoLTE.

When roaming set your phone's preferred Network to 4G/LTE, not 5G. AT&T 5G doesn't work, so if that's what you're connected to data will not work.

Aside from that ensure Data Roaming is enabled on your device, and that you're connected to either T-Mobile or AT&T. If one isn't working, try the other.

As has been stated, your plan speed does not matter. 3G plans can still connect to the 4G and 5G networks, if the device supports them.

My guess is you were either connected to AT&T 5G or you didn't have Data Roaming enabled on your device.
