      <description>&lt;P&gt;I upgraded to a 5g plan. I spend half my time in an area that doesn’t have 5g service for work. But when I’m away for work I am missing out on messages because my data doesn’t work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;my boss thinks I’m ignoring their messages but I’m just not getting them.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/342174"&gt;@LoraleeBean&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What model phone do you use?&amp;nbsp; For your phone settings, did you manually select 5G network only?&amp;nbsp; Most phones, you can select Auto and your phone will decide which network would be the best to use in the area.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You could try to reboot phone.&amp;nbsp; Network reset of phone (note this will erase any saved Wifi passwords settings)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/342174"&gt;@LoraleeBean&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;even with 5G plan, you can access 4G orn3G networks.&amp;nbsp; Usually people let it stays with Automatic on Network mode, but you might want to explicitly set it to 4G or LTE and see if works better.&amp;nbsp; And no worry about the speed, even on 4G, with a 5G plan you have, your speed can be above 100Mbps&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Set the phone to 4G LTE. What colour are the text bubbles? Real sms texts should work fine as long as you're connected to Telus/Public somehow or other. Remember that the 5G plans here are about speed. You can get the same speed when connected to either 4G LTE or 5G.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
