international text message

Somehow I am unable to send international text messages, like sending a message to a mobile phone number in China. Receiving international message seems ok. How can I get this fixed?

@Yong2 Have you tried rebooting the phone or reset network settings ? Also is it possible to try the SIM in another phone and see is services are working correctly

It should definitely work. Do you include every calling code in front of number?
What happens when you reply to receiving international SMS?

@Yong2 did you remove the leading 0 ?

To send a SMS to a mobile phone number in China, simply:

1. Dial the international access code for your country , dial 011;

2. Dial country code for China: 86

3. Dial the mobile number in China, excluding the 0 at the beginning of the number

I tried rebooting the phone, and tried the SIM card in another phone. Same problem repeated, not a solution, it seems.

or let us know the exact sequence you dialsd

and you texted different phone numbers?

if you are on iPhone, try turn off iMessage and turn on Send as Text and test again

@Yong2 are you replying to the same person that can successfully text you? Try removing their contact info. and re-entering it?

If this is a different person you are trying to send to, what is the message? Perhaps this person doesn't have a plan that accepts international texts.

I included correct calling code in front of mobile number, it still failed. I replied to the incoming international sms previously sent to my public mobile phone, and it failed too at the other international phone#. but no error message displayed. I dialed 011 or just "+" then country code, message not received.

I dialed +86 (which is 01186) then 123 4567 8910 (mobile#), I tried different receiving#s. None of them got my message from public mobile. I also tried simply replying to them, it failed too. Previously it was ok, no problem.

you can text locally without problem?

don't think it helps, but test your sim on another phone if you have not done so

if nothing works, open ticket with support and see if they see the message left PM network or if it errored out on PM side already

Thanks. Texting locally is fine. SIM on another phone could not solve the problem. I sent a message to CS Agent.

Make sure receiver hasn't accidentally blocked your PM number.
