Temp Number Comes Up

Hey I switched to Public along with my parents at the start of the month. My number and my dad's number ported over fine. There were some issues with my mum's which had been fixed mostly. Whenever she texts me her temp number comes up but when I send a text to her normal number it goes through normally. When she texts other people it goes through from her normal number. For what I can tell it's only me that receives texts from the temp number so it must be an issue with my phone/account?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What type of phone does your mother have?

Has it been rebooted since the port has taken place?

Are these normal sms texts or are these iMessages or RCS texts if you are on android?

Both phones have been rebooted multiple times. She has a Pixel 6 Pro and I have the 7 Pro.

When I send to her number they are normal sms messages but when she's sends from the temp number they are RCS messages.

Have her try this:

Open the Messages app.
Tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
Choose Messages settings, then tap RCS chats.
Turn off RCS Chats. A pop-up window warns that you'll be removed from group RCS chats. Tap Turn off to continue.

Once you have it turned off, reboot the device. Once the device is rebooted you can turn RCS chat’s back on.

If that doesn’t solve it you can also try this:

Change the phone number associated with the Messages app: Open the Messages app and Tap your Profile icon and navigate to Messages settings
2. Then hit Advanced. Select Phone number, then edit the number to the correct phone number associated with your SIM card. Tap OK.

Open Messages
Tap More options > Settings > RCS chats
Turn off RCS chats

Is there a way to edit a post that was chosen as the solution? As currently the post chosen doesn’t include the info I posted below that solved it for @Fushna.

I’d love to include the info that got him there in the comment that ended up getting selected.
