Also, good idea to make sure PM has turned ON the volte in your phone.

Hi All,

In my plan I have 40 GB Canada-US Data so I would like to know if this plan allows me to use all 40 gigabytes, including unlimited talk and text anywhere in Canada and in the United State, is it correct? Also if I will be roaming automatically all over the US when I'm in US and use my plan with no additional charges as it's included in my plan right?

That is a great question and I would like to know the answer (in order to later help other customers asking similar questions).

My understanding is that Canada-USA plan allows you to use call/SMS/MMS in both countries and data should work too on either side of the border WITHOUT purchasing any additional add-ons.
They only thing you most likely should do is to turn roaming on and select 2 USA partners PM is using in USA. That might occur automatically but I would like somebody who has REAL experience with your and similar CAN-USA plan to confirm my statements. No guessing please...

To reiterate what hairbag1 said, check whether your phone is VoLTE capable and on the PM VoLTE compatible list if you don't already know, since 3G is not available in the US to fall back on and so without VoLTE you would need to be in an area with 2G for the phone to work fully.
