Hey, guys, am I the only one having this issue? incoming calls going straight to voicemail without ringing

it was the issue back then when I just started with Public Mobile 2 years ago. I tried everything I could;

making sure to turn off "do not disturb mode",

double checked blocked numbers,

uncheck "Bluetooth connections",

even tried to disable "call forwarding" feature( though I couldn't) and

start thinking of replace my phone's SIM card(it will cost money?)

Any suggestions, guys, it's very frustrated, indeed!

Is there any way you can try your sim in a different device to see if the same problem persists?

I would also try resetting your network settings and then rebooting. This will wipe your saved WiFi networks but those can be easily re-added

Hi @Becool29

This happened to me recently. iPhone perhaps? If so, it has to do with the "Block Unknown Number" option. Before it was just block actual number that come up unknown caller. Now it seems to block all numbers not on the contact list. So if you do have an iphone, go turn it off and reboot and then ask someone that went to voicemail to try you again.

Beside, I turned off "block Number" feature as well just to avoid blocking ANY numbers, so almost 90% of the calls going to my voicemail box without ringing, regardless.

trying my SIM card in different phone is the ONLY thing I haven't done 'cos I just have one phone myself, I need to borrow one to have a test someday, I guess.

"Resetting the network settings and rebooting" sounds so IT guy thing, can it be done by going my phone "setting"? I don't see "Network Settings" item, which "catougary should I looking at? Setting-Connection-Mobile networks?

That should clear the problem. I've seen this on the forums here several times with the same issues and when they contact CS and reset network, it goes back to normal.

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

Please let us know if this works

Last Samsung I have was a Samsung 4 Mini. LOL... what are they on now?? 22, 23?

Only workaround is to use VoLTE. But what phone is that? was that a Note 9? Note 9 is not VoLTE compatible with PM so this won't work

btw, if you go to another area, you should be able to use 3G and see it connected, and voice call will work

I suggest you to open ticket with PM and tell them your location and let them know that you cannot connect 3G there and hence you don't have voice calls. Please message support here:

                 https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on top right) after the ticket is opened. CS Agent will reply to you there

Hello Bon Citoyen,

Did your issue of incoming calls go directly to voicemails without even ringing is resolved or did you changed your cellphone. I am asking this to you because I am facing the same issue from last year, at that time it was few numbers, but now numbers are going up rapidly. I also have a Samsung Note 9 and planning to change my phone but it cost me more. Thanks

hi @Preett it could be because of the 3G-VoLTE problem. Telus or Bell might have retired some 3G towers around you to make road for 5G in the area. Note 9 is around 5+ years old, the phone itself still working well but it might be time for a new phone with VoLTE and whitelisted with PM
