I just activated my account but didn't put my friends code in. I see I can't put it in now? Any way to add it after the fact?

You need to reach out to a CSA. Here's the link. Advise them what happened and keep an eye on the top right corner mailbox for their reply

Just tell them you completely forgot to add it during activation. They are pretty good about it.
