I am planning to do a trip to Europe this summer and I wanted to know if there is add ons for oversea.

Unfortunately there is not.

When I went to Europe I used a Knowroaming SIM and had my number forwarded to Fongo. That doesn't help with texts though.

Another alternative would be to buy a local SIM when you are there.

If you do the Knowroaming thing, make sure your phone is unlocked and that you set your forwarding while you still have PM service. 🙂

@ashleypham, to go along with the suggestion of using Fongo as part of the plan for Europe, you can get "Canada wide Texting and Talk" on the Fongo number for $2.79 for 1 month of service.

Essentially, you could create a temporary Canadian number on Fongo for your trip to Europe, use a local SIM card for roaming, and you could call back to Canada, and Canada could call your "temp" number, as long as you have data access via cellular or WiFi.

There are also other addons within the Fongo app, which would have longer periods of time, for reasonable savings if you need them longer.

The only add-ons that Public Mobile offers are for the US.

Always buy local especially for EU travel. The pricing is so much better than what the Canadian carriers offer. The top tier brands just raised the price for the roaming packages which makes it that much more important to shop locally.
