I recently purchased a new iPhone but when I select transfer number from old iPhone it says “error contact service provider”.

how do I pass my number to my new iPhone?

@ishycont you cannot transfer the existing eSIM but you have to buy a new one for the new phone.

download the app, click ⊕ on the bottom left to bring up the menu and go to Subscription & Add-on page, scroll down to the bottom and click Shop SIM Card Now. You can buy and install eSIM from there

@ishycont Sorry can’t transfer eSIM you have to purchase a new one . Log into the app on the new phone . Go to subscription add on page notice at the bottom says shop eSIM select it and choose eSIM download and install that’s it your done

To add on to @softech suggestion, if you're new here in the last year or so and not on the Legacy Rewards program still... there are some new plans that came out today that might interest you. They offer free eSIMS. Just making a suggestion.

@Chalupa_Batman But OP just wants to upgrade his phone , cheaper to pay $5 for new eSIM then to port out their number and change email as new customers to port back into the one plan that only for new activations cost to much and to much hassle . And the other two new plans that came out today are for existing customers .

I thought it was $10? Either way, I know it would be a pain but sometimes people are willing to go to extremes to get the best deal. LOL. I've seen weirder things!! 🙂
