I was told I needed a new phone that is compatible with the network and I was given a list: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/volte

I need to know what "EWB3 and Above means in

Samsung S21 FE 5G (EWB3 & above)

I can't seem to find that combination of letters and numbers in the phone specifications.

EWB3 is a actual model number, you can only find that on the box

Generally, any S21 FE sold in Canada would work. So, S21FE, S22, S23 will work. Safest to get it from Canada retailer and not those shipped from US or other countries

That appears to be a software build number. Having an older version doesn't necessarily mean that VoLTE won't work, but could just mean that's what Public Mobile successfully tested.

Did support tell you that? If so then you're being lied to again like they id before telling you needed a 4G or 5G plan for volte. From your previous thread your phone is absolutely compatible with this place. I have the exact same model. It has volte and 5G. It has had volte for quite some time now. I say that because we have seen reports of people saying they had volte for a brief period of time and then gone.

make sure you aware this is not sold by Bestbuy. It is actually Bestbuy marketplace sold by 2ndTurn Canada . We heard of unreliable sellers on Bestbuy Marketplace, but make sure Bestbuy will honour and provide refund if there is any problem

The service is so inconsistent all over the province, I sometimes even have full bars and it reads 5g and I can't make a call. It is maddening. I have tested both dedicated 4g and 5g and it is the same result. Dropped calls, can't send texts.

Unless you're purchasing DIRECTLY in a Best Buy store, do NOT purchase it off Marketplace Sellers. Too many scams, too many problems. Too many regrets.
