What time zone does data usage show up on phone

why am I being charged data usage when phone is on wifi

@Jasonv93 , I believe at midnight eastern time, data usage for the day is reconciled. As for data usage while on WiFi, phones do use so called WiFi assist where the mobile data connection remains while on WiFi. It is possible to disable the mobile data connection when on WiFi.

@Jasonv93 PM updates it’s usage 2x a day so when your asleep it will update the prior 12 hours usage , also if you have wifi assist on it can still use your cell data even when on wifi if the wifi signal isn’t the best . So you can turn it off also . If this is iPhone go to phone settings > cellular and bottom of page turn off wifi assist

PM updates your usage on your account twice a day. Once around midnight EST and second time around noon EST.
