Absolutely not. Calling and Texting are totally different than using data. Although if you do have an iPhone, iMessages will be used as data.

I'd recommend downloading the Public Mobile app to check daily data. My understanding is it updates 2 times a day. You can also go to your account online and look at the usage box and there's a little clockwise arrow, click on that and it will update stats.

no data needs for regular voice calls and regular sms/mms

With mms, you need to turn on data but it won't actually use your data

But if you call using the app to call, like Whatsapp, FB calling, Skype, Facetime, it consume data

And if you send RCS or iMessage, it uses data as well

So, be careful what you use to make calls and send text
