Can I get two lines activated at the same time on my iPhone?

My plan at PM still has over 30 days until renewal but I’ve used up all my data. Can I sign up for another line (use my own code) and get a random number (with eSIM) and activate it along with my old line (physical SIM) on my iPhone and use both lines simultaneously? Of course I will cancel my second line upon my old line renewal.

@Toxin You can have two separate accounts. only one number per account and it’s own email , but sure you can have one account on eSIM and a second account on physical SIM card and yes of course use your referral code for the second line

unless you're a real data hog...consider getting 1GB of data add-on for $15, unless you don't see 1GB lasting untl next renewal. Use more free wifi whenever available ?

You can also do an early renewal instead of a whole other account.

FREE wifi offered by business owners for its customers? What a concept!!! Unfortunately, North America ranks last in that category….. 1GB would last a couple of days if even 😞

The $10 goes to the new account. You said you're going to cancel that new account. So you could get a couple 200mb add-ons and run out the new plan data and the add-on data and then cancel the account.
I would do the early renewal.

So how does that work? Having both numbers active and ringing on same phone. Can you identify which account/SIM card deducting the data usage from?

It's just dual sim. You can use one or the other for each feature. I set my apn on one account to only do mms. I set the other account to be the main data account. But you can tell it to use either account data too.

@Handy1 Is that what you would do? Adding a temporary 2nd line or early renewal and forfeit your rewards?

There may be some debate and YMMV on that. You will pay for the renewal up front but you might get rewards shortly after.

That's a pretty complicated solution to a simple problem. Just buy a data add-on, or do what @dust2dust suggested and renew your plan early.

You can have 2 plans on your iPhone…one on the SIM and the other on eSIM.

But why don’t you download the TextNow app and pick a random number get the second line for FREE service through WiFi or connect your SIM data?

This is what I am doing!
