Pixel 3a service not working and phone barely working

My pixel 3a is not working as intended. I bought a new sim tray because my mom lost mine and the new sim tray came in but the phone is not making calls and not functioning properly, any ideas?

@bappo Can you try the SIM card in another phone to test . Maybe you damaged the SIM card while waiting for nee sim tray . If I’m you need a new SIM card maybe call around to local Telus Koodo store for availability or order from Amazon and you can som card swap it in your profile tap

@bappo and the sim still working on another phone?

so, you see the phone saying not connect to the network a lot with this tray?

I imagine the sim tray you got, the size is off a bit, maybe not pushing the sim to touch the connection.

I haven't tried using the sim in another phone but the sim tray size thing sounds plausible. How would i go about fixing that though

@bappo Also if your phone supports eSIM you can buy one in the PM app go to subscription add on page . Notice shop SIM card at the bottom of page click it and choose eSIM download and install

I reseated the sim tray and it just works all the sudden, i swear i tried doing that so many times, thanks for the help guys
