Hello helpuful people.

if i was to buy a phone with these frequencies would it connect to PM?

GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: B1/B2/B4/B5/B8
FDD-LTE: B1/B3/B5
TDD-LTE: B39/B40/B41

The frequencies supported by PM are found here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telus_Mobility.

Try looking up your phone here: willmyphonework.net

GSM: PM does not support GSM at all

WCDMA (aka 3G I believe): B2 & B5 so you should be ok for 3G

LTE: B4 provides broadest coverage so it will be hit & miss if at all

In summary: looks fine for calling, texting, 3G data but not LTE. Please use the links to do your own research.

@Ed @Luddite has given you the correct info. 3G data speeds (regardless of whether you choose a "3G" or "4G" Public Mobile data plan) is all you will be able to get in most of the country. Which phone is that?

When checking for phone compatibility, the simplest check is to look for B4 FDD-LTE. If that is available, it means the phone is design for the North American market.
