I just bought a Blackview A7, 3G smart phone. When i insert my public mobile SIM card I get "No Service". In the SIM status section on the phone it states "network unknown" yet it shows my current phone number and says carrier is Telus. This SIM card worked fine on my old Samsung. Shouldnt I just be able to plug my SIM card into the new phone and it'll work?
Please help.

Thank you in advance.

Where did you buy it?

Can you check what the user manual states for network frequencies?

The information I found in a very quick search indicate that the phone might not have (all) the bands required.

And I don't even consider a phone that I can't check compability of because the manufacturer / seller doesn't list frequencies in their specs .

I can't find the specs on that manufacturer's website, so it is likely not supporting the correct frequencies.
