Can-US plan

Hello,

My son is travelling to the US for school in Texas, we reside in Canada. Will the Can-US plan allow us to text and call him from CAN to US and vice versa? Will be able to make calls and text others in the US?
also, does he keep his data on while in the US or will we be charged roaming?

@TBay Yes with that plan he can call and text to and from both countries and use data like he would normally use here at home it’s a true snow bird plan

add PM is pre paid so you will never have a surprise bill

Yes,, with the CAn-US plan, you can make calls to Can/US and receive calls and SMS and use mobile data when you are in States without extra charges

This plan is very useful for frequent traveler's to the USA, like snowbirds and students. The only potential issue is that US callers who call him would need long distance calling since his number is a Canadian number. Might be an issue in certain situations, but otherwise, just use his phone like he would in Canada.

Yup, that's the plan for him. And yes, he still has to turn on data roaming on his phone and ensure network selection is set to automatic. No extra charges are possible because you prepay for everything with PM. If you don't have a feature, it just won't work. If you do, it's because you already paid for it/it's included.
